If you find that the soil dries out fast indoors, a deep soaking water is the best option to prevent it from stressing as a result of not enough water. A great way to care for the watering needs of your bamboo is to "mist" it. A pebble tray is also a wise choice. Misting will replicate the conditions that the bamboo would experience in nature. A pebble tray is a simple tray filled with pebbles and enough water so that the pebbles can just be seen above the surface. The pot containing the bamboo is put on top of the pebbles making sure that it does not touch the water.

Mean goals are goals that are used to attain the end goal. It is a medium used to achieve the end goal. During goal setting, make sure that you set end goals and not mean goals.

Let's take the common I-want-to-get-rich goal as an example. This is not an end goal but a means goal. This is because what you want is not money, but the things that money can bring you. Things like security, freedom, happiness, experience etc. You don't actually want more numbers in your bank account. You want what you think money is able to give you.

Sadly many people fail to see that and got caught out by it. They try hard to amass more wealth but eventually still end up unsatisfied. This is because they did not get what they ultimately wanted. All this because they put their focus on the wrong goal.

Here's a familiar story: A young man works in a large corporation, aiming to be the CEO so that he can have the money to live a life of security, freedom and happiness. Works hard for 20 years, finally becomes the CEO. But in doing so, for 20 years he spent most of the time working (no freedom, no time for loved ones), the stress is killing him (unhappy), and it affected his relationship with family members and friends.

So in the end he achieved his goal, but sadly he found out that it did not give him what he wanted.

To set a goal, sacrifice for it and finally achieve it, only to find out too late that it didn't give you what you initially wanted. That is a very bitter pill to swallow.

So whenever you set goals, take your time to do it. Do it thoroughly, think it through. You do not want to get it wrong and see all your future efforts go to waste. Make sure you do not mistake mean goals for end goals. - 14915

After reaching the decision of wanting to build my own garden shed, I knew that the very first thing I would need is some shed plans. The next question was where do I get them, and where do I start? I am far from being a carpenter and have very little knowledge in working with wood, or doing any type of woodworking for that matter. Top Model Railroad Layouts In The U.S.

Model railroading enthusiasts enjoy only one thing more then showing off their pride and joy: seeing other prototypes and displays that they can then go back home to compete with! Fortunately since showing off is inherent to all of us getting a chance to see some truly spectacular displays is not that hard, and in many cases involves only a short journey as there are literally hundreds of museums across the country that displays tens of thousands of locomotives, cars and scenes between them.

Most museums do charge a fee for admittance, but it normally is quite small (averaging $6) and proceeds typically go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the models and facilities. A few sites are run by private organizations while others are run by a state or municipality but they all have one thing in common: people who love trains and railroad modeling are involved! There is hardly a state in the United States that doesn't have at least one major museum or showcase for the Model Railroader and all are worth visiting, but some are worth making a trip to see even if you are only marginally interested. A partial list of some of the more famous destinations that are sure to thrill both enthusiast and family alike follow:

The San Diego Model Railroad Museum - Partially available 'online' the museum is a tax exempt non-profit educational entity that was incorporated in 1980 in affiliation with the San Diego Model Railroad Club; the La Mesa Model Railroad Club; and the San Diego Society of N-Scale. Over 27,000 sq. ft. of display space makes this the largest indoor display in the world with two of the largest layouts in HO and N scale in the world as well.

The Twin City Model Railroad Museum in St. Paul Minneapolis features model panoramas of the 1930's, 40's and 50's and has been operating since 1984.

South Florida Railway Museum This museum is designed primarily to educate the public about the history of railroads in southern Florida but includes several very nice layouts, including a large N scale and a Hon3 model.

Smokey Mountain Trains Located in Bryson City North Carolina this wonderful site houses many of the layouts once available from the Harmar Station museum in Marietta, OH and is a great vacation destination for the model train enthusiast.

The Museum of Science and Industry located in Chicago Illinois also has a wonderful Model Train exhibit called The Great Train Story which boasts as having a 3,500 sq. foot layout that shows the winding journey from Chicago to Seattle through the Midwest, the Rockies, and the Cascades.

The Clovis Depot Located in Clovis New Mexico in an old train station depot which has been rebuilt to its original condition this site was registered with the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Revival: On Mourning and Godly Sorrow

Wisdom calls, she lifts up her voice like a trumpet - can we hear her: "The last shall be first, and the first last." She is to be preferred over pure gold - have we sought her: "Everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted." By her presidents rule and judges administer justice - have we found her: "He must increase, but I must decrease." Ponder wisdom:

It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting and sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure. Eccl 7:2-4

Wisdom? The heart is made better by the sadness of the countenance? The house of mourning is better than the house of feasting? I thought Christian salvation was about God having a wonderful, happy plan for my life. Why all this talk of sadness and mourning? Surely the writer doesn't understand the ways of God. Surely he doesn't understand salvation - or does he? Is it possible that it is us moderns who don't understand the ways of God?

Solomon understood the often overlooked and misunderstood truth that "unless a seed falls to the ground and dies it abides alone, but if it dies it bears much fruit." He knew that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning" (John 12:24). Solomon understood that without crucifixion there can be no resurrection. Friend, is the modern Christian church greater than its Master?

Consider a baker meticulously mixing water, sugar, salt, yeast and flour. He mixes and punches; he rolls and kneads until the dough is perfect. His guests are screaming for the bread, but he knows he must be patient - the rising cannot be rushed. "Leave out the yeast!" cries a famished guest. "After all, the other ingredients are there." But the wise baker knows that even though such a yeast-free concoction might taste similar to bread it would not really be bread at all.

From powdered milk to microwave popcorn, if you want easy and fast - you've got it. Drive-through restaurants; drive-through dry cleaners; drive-through church, it's alright - forget the yeast! We want weight loss without strain and Christian conversion without contrition - the rising just takes too long! Contrition? Indeed, contrition is the yeast in the bread of genuine conversion. Contrition is the house of mourning and the sadness of the countenance. It is the death of the seed and the weeping at midnight. Contrition means crucifixion to self-sufficiency and arrogance. Contrition is the sackcloth and ashes of the soul!

Without contrition true conversion and revival are impossible. Please, don't hear me wrong. We can have big churches without contrition. We can have thousands at altar calls without contrition. We can get people to close their eyes and repeat rote prayers without contrition, but we cannot get one selfish, sin-laden soul to abandon his preoccupation with himself and be genuinely converted without contrition.

Your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God...and because you humbled yourself before Me, tore your clothes, and wept before Me, I truly have heard you," declares the LORD (2 Chron 34:27-28).

The sacrifice of a torn garment is fruitless without the sacrifice of a contrite and broken heart. In the same way the sacrifices of church attendance, giving, and other spiritual endeavors are useless apart from a contrite heart. We may shred every garment we own and even assent to all the right doctrinal stuff, but without a tender and humble heart God does not hear and revival will not come. Remove godly sorrow from the bread of conversion and our converts just won't rise.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death (2 Cor 7:9-10). - 14915

For prying rocks out of your garden, be they big or medium sized, a prying bar is very good. This gardening tool will let you get those rocks out of your newly tilled bed without straining your back.

Backaches from moving heavy mulch or compost are common for gardeners. Getting a good wheelbarrow that can help with moving dirt can be a great asset and a back saver.

A garden will benefit from a good quality mulch or compost. It also needs good soil or dirt. You can give your vegetables and herbs an advantage by composting and mulching the base of the plants. This is where having a wheelbarrow can help you.

With all these tools at your disposal you might think that your gardening supply is complete. There is one more item that you need to add as it is very important. That is a watering system for your garden. You can use long nozzled watering cans to give your delicate seedlings a gentle flow of water, or you can use a garden hose where you adjust the nozzle head to give different settings allows you to water just about anything and anybody.

Having a variety of options lets you choose the right tool for the job. You don't have to spend a lot of money on your gardening tools and they should still be able to outlast your flowers. - 14915
