Items such as property, vehicles, furniture and fixtures, electronics, machinery, jewellery, exercise equipment, etc. There are many places you can buy these types of items but one place you probably haven't considered, and probably has the best value for your buck is government surpluses.

Government Surplus Auctions occur regularly, whether it is in your town, city, or county. These are items the government has purchased for one reason or another and are sitting idle in inventory. Legislation says these items can't remain in inventory after a certain amount of time so it must be awarded back to the public in the form of an auction. These auctions can be either on-line and/or physically on-location. Because projects and priorities are consistently changing many of the items auctioned are never used.

Since these items are so discounted another angle that can be ventured into is starting a business resaling the items that you purchased from the government to make some extra income. Here is a word of advice though. Most government auction websites will require you to sign up with a membership fee to view the merchandise and the schedules of events. Some of them, however, do not provide their members quality for their money, such that listings and schedules are not updated.
