Do Rich People and Poor People think Differently?
Have you made up your mind that you are ready to move into the field where the big earners play? You're tired of low-income wages. You're tired of barely getting by. You're sick to the teeth of scrimping and never having enough. You are desperate for things to not just be better, but to be really great!
If this is you talking then there are a few questions you will need to answer frankly.
If you want to become a millionaire (that's fairly wealthy, wouldn't you say), how do millionaires act? If you want to become a big earner, how do big earners think? If you want to be rich, what is it that differentiates the rich from the poor?
Collectively most people would reply to these questions in the following manner.
Millionaires like to buy rich and fancy houses and cars. Really big earners have nothing else to think about except the amount of money they have and all the fantastic ways they can spend it. The only difference between the rich and poor is that the rich have money.
For all three questions those assumptions are dead wrong.read on!
How to Get to Know the Rich
If you wanted to ride in a rodeo you would probably have to start hanging out with cowboys. Obviously it would be in your best interest to learn the ropes from people who have been there, done that! Just because you want to be a cowboy, doesn't mean you are, right?
That being said, it is obvious that in order to be wealthy or rich and to learn about how rich and wealthy people think you need to learn from other wealthy people. You need to learn what makes them like you and what sets them apart. Just because you flew on a plane doesn't mean you're a pilot. The same holds true with money. Just because you are able to make a boat load of money doesn't mean you will be and stay wealthy.
Being rich is not just about having money. Let's clarify a little so that we can stimulate the strong desire you will need to actually make it work for you. Being rich is about wealth internally and externally. Wealthy people have the know-how and the resources to lose everything they have and earn it all back without missing a beat. It isn't their money that makes them rich it is the powerful tool of their mind and the way their mind works.
Wealthy people are solutions-minded; problems are just an annoying bump in the road. Poor people crash at the first sign of a problem - they were sure it wouldn't work all along. The problem proved them right!
The rich are wiling and able to take risks that don't involve a guarantee (like a paycheck) They can take these risks because they don't feel intimidated by the rest of the world, whereas many poor people feel the world is out to get them. Wealthy people pioneer their own trail. They don't mind thinking on their own or thinking differently from the mainstream. Poor people generally derive their views from the media or let other people tell them how to think. Wealthy people aren't afraid of bumps in the road because they are solution minded. Poor people crumble at the first sign of trouble unable to make decisions and revert to their self pity attitude. Wealthy people aren't intimidated by extra zeroes in their income level. Poor people think in smaller increments wanting just enough to get by. Wealthy people are decisive and efficient in their decisions. They make decisions based on their future desires. Poor people procrastinate and are waiting for external forces to tell them the right time to move ahead on the road to success.
Wealthy people make quick decisions; they are always moving forward. Poor people procrastinate, and then procrastinate some more. They are waiting for the "just right" time to get onto that road to success.
